Prada Marfa: A surreal art installation in the Texas desert.

The art installation "Prada Marfa" by artists Elmgreen & Dragset is a permanently sealed, non-functional replica of a Prada boutique located in the Chihuahuan Desert outside of Valentine, Texas. Stocked with actual Prada shoes and bags from the Fall/Winter 2005 collection, handpicked by Miuccia Prada, the sculpture acts as a surrealist commentary on consumer culture, luxury branding, and its clash with a remote, rural environment.
